Angelo Cataldi embarrasses himself again, screams about Ben Simmons on the radio

Ben Simmons had a fantastic first round series against the Washington Wizards. He closed out the series with a triple double, scoring 19 points to go along with 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Simmons also shot 5-8 from the foul line, which was an area of concern in the early part of the series when he missed a NBA record 10 straight free throws to start the playoffs. In the end, the Sixers won the series 4-1.
They will now host the Atlanta Hawks in Game One of the second round on Sunday at 1pm as the entire city of Philadelphia awaits an injury update about Joel Embiid‘s right knee.
After Ben’s dominant performance in game five, he went to instagram and posted a picture of him smirking with the caption “They love me. They love me not. They love me. They love me not.” It was honestly perfect and completely true. The city flip-flops back and forth on Ben Simmons and whether they love or hate him almost on an hour by hour basis.
This is the picture the Morning Show account posted this morning on Twitter.
There are a few old, washed up men in Philly sports talk radio that can’t stand Ben Simmons. The first, being Howard Eskin, who was recently caught on a hot mic at Eagles Training Camp talking about how Ben Simmons refuses to draw contact (lol).
Then, you have the Morning Show, on the same station with bozo Angelo Cataldi screaming into a microphone about god knows what that gives you flashbacks to visiting your grandmoms in a nursing home with deranged dementia patients yelling in the hallways.

Unless you’re 60+ years old or have been living under a rock, then you know Angelo Cataldi is an absolute fraud. This is Philadelphia’s number one morning talk show on the radio. Seriously? I have no idea how anyone listens to this garbage to begin with. I can’t even fathom why anyone, especially someone in the media, would think it’s okay to say “screw you” to Ben Simmons and call him a “jerk.”
Cataldi blabbers on “declaring war” on Ben Simmons and saying that Sixers fans should “boo the crap” out of Simmons if he misses a free throw, just providing how completely out of touch he is with Sixers fans and the atmosphere at Sixers games in general.
WIP as a whole is an absolute joke. Howard Eskin and Joe Giglio literally sit in a room together before going on air and plan out what they can say that will piss everyone off to drive engagement. It’s all just one big orchestrated hit job over and over again. Shame on anyone who listens to this garbage and takes them seriously.
I’m always clamoring for a new wave of voices in Philadelphia sports talk radio. People like the Eskins, the Giglios, and the Cataldi’s, the Missanelli’s, aren’t even fans of the team. They don’t care about anything except driving revenue through hate, and negative emotion.
Simmons is overrated
