Adam Sandler holding open basketball tryouts at 76ers Fieldhouse

For those looking to fulfill your lifelong dream of being a professional basketball player or in a movie, here is your time to shine. Adam Sandler will be filming his upcoming film “Hustle” and is looking for several young adult basketball players from the ages of 18-30 to star in an extra role. According to the announcement below, tryouts will be held at the 76ers Fieldhouse in Wilmington, Delaware, on Sunday, July 18th.
Hustle is about Adam Sandler, who stars as a down-on-his-luck basketball scout who, while abroad, discovers a generational talent with a rocky past. He decides to bring the phenom back with him without his team’s approval, giving them both one last shot to prove they are NBA-worthy. The film also features Philadelphia native, and Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry. Filming has been underway in Philly and has used local Coatesville Area High School for some scenes.
For those looking to break onto the basketball movie scene, this is a perfect opportunity. If you find yourself up against Sandler in a game, don’t underestimate him. Despite his looks, Adam Sandler is a walking bucket in pickup games and is one of his major hobbies outside the film industry.
