Doc Rivers and several 76ers to star in Adam Sandler’s upcoming movie, “Hustle”

Several 76ers will be on the big screen later this year. Recently Adam Sandler appeared on Dan Patrick’s show to discuss his upcoming basketball film Hustle, currently filming in Philadelphia. LeBron James and numerous other NBA stars are involved in the film, but it looks like the most prominent team will be the hometown 76ers.
According to Sandler, Sixers head coach Doc Rivers will make an appearance alongside several current players.
“Yesterday, I did a scene with Doc Rivers, and a bunch of the Sixers were in there. Tobias, Matisse, Seth Curry, and Tyrese Maxey, it’s all nice guys.”
While Doc and most of the players haven’t been spotted on set, Tobias Harris was seen on set at a court in South Philly. Sandler discussed a highly competitive streetball scene in his interview, so Harris was likely involved.
Hustle is about Adam Sandler, who stars as a down-on-his-luck basketball scout who, while abroad, discovers a generational talent with a rocky past. He decides to bring the phenom back with him without his team’s approval, giving them both one last shot to prove they are NBA-worthy. Recently Sander held tryouts for his film at the 76ers Fieldhouse in Delaware.
