Phillies Roster Moves, Draft Pick Signings

The Philadelphia Phillies made the following roster moves yesterday ahead of their game against the Miami Marlins, which was ultimately suspended due to rain. Connor Brogdon will be reinstated from the COVID-related IL. Pitcher Mauricio Llovera was optioned back to Triple A Lehigh Valley.
Matt Vierling, who was recalled before Friday’s double header against the Marlins to be the Phillies’ 27th man on the roster, was also optioned back to Triple A Lehigh Valley.
Aaron Nola and Bailey Falter were both reinstated after trips to the COVID-related IL. Nola will be back on the mound for the Phillies on Tuesday in New York against the Yankees. The Phillies are still awaiting word on Alec Bohm, who has yet to return after testing positive for COVID-19.

The Phillies have an opportunity to go TWO games above .500 today. The Mets will play Pittsburgh yet again today at 1:05pm. The Pirates are in last place in the NL Central but are now 7-3 in their last 10 games. They have beaten the Mets three games in a row.
Things could be very interesting by this evening but first, the Phillies need to beat the Marlins in extras and then have Zack Wheeler shut them down in a game shortly after.
