Ben Simmons trade talks expected to get serious this week

It’s going to be a busy week in Philadelphia. Earlier today, Adrian Wojnarowski reported on ESPN that trade discussions around Ben Simmons would be serious this week. Alongside the possibility of moving Ben, the 76ers also own the 28th pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft.
Over the last several weeks, Ben has been linked to several teams, but Daryl Morey has not shown any interest in the leaked deals. Teams like the Pacers, Warriors, Cavaliers, and Kings have been shut down with their proposals. The top target for Ben Simmons was originally Damian Lillard, but there is increasing doubt he will be available this offseason.
Just after trade talks for Dame died down, it was reported another star might want out. It has been reported by several sources that Washington Wizards’ guard Bradley Beal possibly wants out and could request a trade in the next few days. There will be several high-caliber offers for Beal, with the 76ers likely needing to offer more than they would’ve for Damian Lillard. A potential package could include all of Ben Simmons, Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and a hefty amount of draft picks.
Daryl Morey has been aggressive in trying to bring an elite guard to Philadelphia to pair alongside Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris. Earlier, Shams Charania reported the 76ers are expected to be a top suitor for Raptors guard Kyle Lowry in free agency.
