Darius Slay ranked amongst top ten cornerbacks in Madden 22

Earlier today, EA Sports released their defensive back ratings for the upcoming Madden 22. Throughout the week, EA has been announcing the top players at each position. Earlier this week, we saw both Fletcher Cox and Dallas Goedert crack the top ten in their respective positions, while DeVonta Smith and Jalen Hurts’ ratings were a bit underwhelming.
Another Eagle made it into the top ten this morning, with Darius Slay being ranked as the 10th best corner in Madden 22 with an 88 overall. This grade is a slight improvement over Slay’s 87 overall from Madden 21. Slay is ranked just behind Kendall Fuller and Denzel Ward, who are both an 89 overall.
Personally, this rating seems pretty on the nose, despite some saying that Darius Slay somehow had a poor 2021 season. The only remaining positions left ahead of Friday’s full reveal are linebackers, the offensive line, and cornerbacks. If you wish to purchase this year’s Madden, it comes out on August 22nd.
