Eagles place 7 players on injury report

The names on the injury report keep piling up for the Philadelphia Eagles. Halfway through their second week of training camp, the Eagles will be without six players. starting off the list is linebacker Ryan Kerrigan who is limited with a thumb injury. Brandon Brooks is day-to-day with his hamstring injury, alongside Jason Croom and Michael Walker.
Looking at the Eagles’ more severe injuries, Isaac Seumalo, DeVonta Smith, and Davion Taylor are listed as week-to-week. Isaac Seumalo is also dealing with a hamstring injury, while DeVonta has an MCL Sprain. Davion Taylor is listed as just a calf injury.
Taylor’s injury is a brutal blow to his chances to make an impact in camp. Alex Singleton went to the COVID-19/reserve list to start camp, and in his absence, Taylor saw first-team reps. Now, the sophomore linebacker heads to the sidelines and hopefully can show his worth in the upcoming preseason games.
Today is another day off for the veterans, allowing them to rest while the young guys fight for starting jobs. Another interesting note is Jalen Reagor is finally off the injury list with that lower body injury he’s been suffering.
Philly has been down numerous players throughout the majority of training camp, never really having a fully healthy practice. Nick Sirianni needs as many reps as possible with the entire first team. Hopefully, Sirianni can work through this and the Eagles will be able to get a clean start to their season.
