Former Eagles wideout rejoins team and injury updates

After UDFA Michael Walker went down with an injury earlier today in practice, the Eagles waived/injured the wide receiver and brought back WR Marken Michel from the waiver wire. Marken was with Philadelphia back in 2019, being waived ahead of the season but was on the practice squad to end the season. Michel was waived once again that April before joining the Carolina Panthers, who waived him just yesterday.
Walker was carted off with a foot injury earlier today, and the exact specifics have yet to be specified. For the rest of the injured Eagles from this morning’s practice, Andre Dillard is week-to-week with a knee sprain, while K’Von Wallace is week-to-week with a groin strain.
The Eagles now have seven players out week-to-week. The new additions join DeVonta Smith, John Hightower, JaCoby Stevens, Davion Taylor, and Casey Tucker. Four other Eagles, including Genard Avery, are day-to-day, and Brandon Brooks and three others were limited during today’s practice.
With Philly now missing three wideouts, there’s a chance Marken Michel could impress during Thursday’s preseason game, but it doesn’t seem likely. Hopefully, everyone missing extended time will be ready for the season opener in just a few weeks.
