76ers to play Brooklyn Nets during NBA opening week

The Philadelphia 76ers will return to the national spotlight in just over two months. Just now, the NBA released their opening week games, and the 76ers will take on the Brooklyn Nets at home on October 22nd at 7:30. It’s unclear if this will be the Sixers opening game, but it will be their first game on national television.Â
Philly’s entire schedule will be revealed on Friday, but this is the only game announced so far for the 2021/2022 season. The NBA released their schedule for Christmas as well, but unfortunately, the 76ers were left off the list. Some of the matchups include Hawks/Knicks, Celtics/Bucks, and Nets/Lakers.Â
After a disappointing end to their 2021 postseason, the Sixers are likely to see a reduced amount of national games next season. It’ll be interesting to see what the Sixers’ lineup will be against Brooklyn with the trade rumors surrounding Ben Simmons.
