Grant Riller signs two-way contract with the 76ers

After waiving Rayjon Tucker earlier this morning, the Philadelphia 76ers quickly filled the open slot by signing guard Grant Riller to a two-way contract, a source tells The Liberty Line. Grant was a tremendous shot-creating guard out of Charleston before being selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft.
Riller has a lot of potential, being tagged as one of the best shot-creating guards in a stacked draft class. Grant averaged 13 points per game while shooting over 46% from three during his time with the Swarm in the NBA G-League.
Adding another guard with the ability who can be successful with the ball in his hands is always a good idea. Grant Riller spent the NBA Summer League with Charlotte and looked pretty solid. Hopefully, Grant make significant strides with the Blue Coats development staff and be a solid piece for the Sixers going forward. Philly’s other two-way player is Aaron Henry, a UDFA from Michigan State.
