Two-Way guard Rayjon Tucker waived by 76ers

After bringing him back on a two-way deal to start free agency, the Philadelphia 76ers have announced that they’ve waived Rayjon Tucker. Tucker most recently played for the 76ers during the NBA Summer League and looked to have a solid showing, but it unfortunately wasn’t enough.
For the 76ers, it’s unclear what the reasoning is for opening up the extra two-way slot. UDFA Aaron Henry is the Sixers’ other player on a two-way deal. The likely candidate for the newly opened spot would be Charles Bassey. Bassey was expected to be part of the Sixers 15 man roster, but Daryl Morey could bring in another big man or forward with experience.
For Rayjon Tucker, he will likely land on his feet on another NBA Roster. During this past season with the Delaware Blue Coats, Rayjon averaged 19.4 points per game alongside four rebounds and four assists. He also helped lead the Blue Coats to their first ever G-League Finals.
