76ers to have new uniform sponsor next season

A change is coming to the 76ers’ uniforms next season. Yesterday, the 76ers announced that StubHub would no longer be the Sixers official ticketing partner, and Ticketmaster will be taking their place. StubHub has been working with the Sixers since 2016 as their exclusive ticketing partner, became their jersey sponsor shortly after. Their deal was the first uniform advertisement in NBA history.

With StubHub on the way out, they leave a vacant advertisement slot on the 76ers jerseys. No team in the NBA is without a uniform sponsor, so someone will likely be filling the void in the near future. Ticketmaster seemed like the ideal replacement based on the new deal, but they will not be the team’s next sponsor.

Philly was one of the few teams to remain with their original sponsor since the deal began in the 2017/2018 season, so a change was looming regardless. StubHub’s sponsorship was reported to be worth around $5 million annually, so any suitor will likely have to meet that price range. Meanwhile, the NHL has announced they will have uniform sponsors starting in 2022/2023.
