Pick tracker: Carson Wentz returns to practice, on pace to return Week 1

Fantastic news for the Philadelphia Eagles. Earlier today, the Indianapolis Colts announced that Carson Wentz would be returning to practice tomorrow. Wentz has been sidelined with a foot injury that could’ve kept him out through the start of the season. Although he is back in action, Wentz will be limited to start.

Indy doesn’t open their season for another three weeks, so there’s a lot of time for Carson to get up to full speed. When the injury was first sustained, Philly’s hopes of landing a first-round pick for their former QB looked grim, but everything looks to be back on track. If you’re still unaware, the Eagles receive a first-round pick from the Colts if Carson Wentz plays 75% of the snaps or 70%, and they make the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are dealing with their own injuries, with Jason Croom, Tyree Jackson, and numerous others out for several weeks. The Eagles return to action Friday night against the New York Jets.
