Tyrese Maxey excited to play for 76ers, will not demand trade

Finally, some good news for the Philadelphia 76ers. Following last night’s report from Jason Dumas that Paul was attempting to pull Tyrese Maxey out of Philadelphia alongside Ben Simmons, Dumas has since pulled the report. According to Dumas, Maxey is excited to play with the 76ers this season, and Paul does not want Tyrese out of Philadelphia.
Alongside that report, Kendrick Perkins tweeted that the Maxey rumors were false and that Rich Paul said he never wanted him out of Philadephia. Perk went on to say that if Tyrese Maxey is involved in a deal because of his value that it was another story. Although Perkins is criticized by many, he has close ties to LeBron James and Klutch, so his report is reliable.
Regardless, it’s good to see that Tyrese Maxey is staying put, and that report was either false or Paul backtracked from the large amount of criticism across the league. For Ben Simmons, both sides say that situation remains the same, and he still wants out of Philadelphia.
Joel Embiid made some comments on Twitter stating his thoughts on the situation while denying claims there is a rift between the two stars. However, chaos will continue in Philadelphia until a Simmons trade occurs, which might not happen for a month with training camp starting in late September.
