Joel Embiid ranked 7th best player in NBA in 2021/2022

It’s no secret that Joel Embiid is one of the most dominant players in the NBA, and he continues to get that respect going into the 2021/2022 season. Recently, NBA.com put together their list of the best players in the NBA, and Embiid was placed 7th on the list amongst the league’s best. The NBA has Embiid ahead of Anthony Davis and Damian Lillard while fellow center Nikola Jokic is ranked 5th.
You can check out the entire list here:
“The MVP runner-up, Embiid has made his claim as the league’s most dominant player loud and clear. After averaging a career-best 28.5 points per game during the regular season, Embiid continued his dominance in the playoffs. And despite tearing his meniscus in the first round, Embiid averaged 30.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in the Sixers’ seven-game series loss to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.”
In the upcoming NBA 2K22, Joel Embiid was tied for the second-highest rating in the game with a 95 overall. 7th isn’t a bad spot, and it’s fair to say the 76ers star is just a hair below the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Alongside Joel, Ben Simmons appeared at the bottom of the list, coming in at 30th just behind New York’s Julius Randle.
The big question going into the upcoming season is who will Daryl Morey get in exchange for Ben Simmons to help Joel Embiid and the Sixers chase a championship? Simmons has made it very clear that he will not return to Philadelphia and is prepared to hand over millions in fines. 76ers training camp is less than a month away, so it won’t be long until Simmons is on the move.
