Ben Simmons trolls himself with new tattoo on Instagram

By now, everyone is wishing that the Ben Simmons social media content would stop and let the city of Philadelphia finally find peace, even just for one day. However, the current 25 year old point guard is having a grand old time out in California at his house in the hills. From workout videos, to pictures of his car, and playing basketball with Kevin Hart, Simmons seems to be enjoying himself this offseason while the 76ers and Philadelphia are dying a slow death trying to figure out what the hell is going on with Simmons and what the 76ers will look like come training camp, which is just a few weeks away.
Personally, I can’t get enough. Ben Simmons is an absolute psychopath and the stories just keep coming. It’s almost surreal at this point that the 76ers and Simmons are in this situation. I stopped caring a while ago but when there’s content to be written for The Liberty Line, these Ben Simmons story updates on Instagram are just too funny to ignore.
Yesterday, Simmons posted a picture of him getting a tattoo on the inside of his left wrist. The tattoo was pretty simple, with just a “+61” in small text.
Lets take a look:

Now immediately, people online jumped to conclusions about the tattoo meaning, which left them no better place to look than his statistics during the 2020-21 season. People joked about his +/- and the “amount of foul shots he missed during the playoffs.” Then in a coincidence almost too good to be true, the trolls of the internet found Ben Simmons free throw percentage during the 2020-21 regular season.

Was Ben Simmons trolling himself? Is this some type of motivation to be a better shooter from the free throw line this season? Did Kevin Hart finally break down the doors to Ben Simmons brain and help him get motivated to be a better basketball player in Philadelphia this season?
Nope.
The +61 is actually the country code for Australia. Yep, Ben Simmons is simply honoring the homeland. A country, however, that he did not play basketball for (although invited) during the Olympics.
Regardless, the jokes online are pretty funny. No matter what Ben Simmons does, he gets criticized for it, which makes sense but is also pretty annoying at the same time.
Whatever. I just want the circus to end already. Either come back, sit out, and get traded.
Happy Thursday.
