Ben Simmons working on his jump shot with Tyrese Maxey

It’s that time of year again. Every offseason, Ben Simmons gets 76ers fans hopes up with his workout videos. We have seen clips of Ben dunking and working on his jump shot throughout this offseason, but today we finally got to see some three-pointers from the All-Star.

In the clip above, we see Ben shooting from Curry range and nailing the shot, followed by another deep jumper just inside the arc. These highlights are nothing new, but it’s one way or the other with these videos. Either it’s all a ruse, and nothing will change, or maybe Ben Simmons is actually trying to add a jumper to his arsenal.

Ben is playing with his teammate Tyrese Maxey, Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., Aaron Gordon, and several other NBA players in these runs. The workouts are conducted by trainer Chris Johnson, who Ben has been working with for several seasons. Do these videos show that Ben is a changed man? Absolutely not. The clips are nothing new to 76ers fans, but the hope is that these workouts will finally transition to the NBA this upcoming season.

One thing to take away from this is the fact that he is working with Maxey. There have been numerous reports that Ben Simmons isn’t talking to anyone in the Sixers’ organization, so seeing him playing with his teammate is a very positive sign.
