Ben Simmons likes Instagram post claiming 76ers aren’t utilizing him properly

Amidst all the chaos, Ben Simmons has taken to Instagram to seemingly voice his frustrations with the Philadelphia 76ers. Recently, @SixersNationCP posted a quote from Gilbert Arenas where he said that Simmons isn’t being utilized correctly by the 76ers.

“The fact you’re not Greek-the-freaking this dude, tells me another story too.”

The caption went on to emphasize that the Sixers weren’t working towards Simmons’ strengths on offense. Amongst those liking the post was none other than Ben Simmons himself. This is also the same Ben Simmons who has refused to develop his game for several seasons and still has no semblance of a jump shot. As much as Giannis is phenomenal around the basket, he also has a jump shot and can shoot free throws, two things that Simmons cannot do.

What I’m taking from this is that despite all the offseason videos that have continued through this afternoon, Ben Simmons will not change the way he plays. He is somehow still oblivious that he’s become a net-negative on offense and has willingly refused to showcase the playstyle discussed above.

When Simmons drove to the basket, he was a machine, but in most games, he never showed half the aggression that Giannis Antetokounmpo displays on a nightly basis. Meanwhile, through all of this, Simmons has turned away his teammates from visiting him in California and is trying to make a statement while still being under contract for four seasons.
