Rich Paul threatens 76ers over Ben Simmons trade negotiations

Rich Paul and Ben Simmons continue to throw a hissy fit about their ongoing situation with the Philadelphia 76ers. Recently, Jay Williams was on ESPN’s Bart & Hahn and directly quoted Ben Simmons’ agent, Rich Paul.
“I talked to Rich Paul, and Rich Paul was the one who told me, “we want out. We want out. And we’ll go to whatever degree we have to in order to get out. We want to be anywhere but in Philadelphia.”
The fact that an agent and one of the most powerful in the league is saying this is very dangerous. Ben Simmons has four years remaining on his contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He can’t threaten to go to whatever degree to make something happen. There is a perilous precedent being set if Simmons can get away with this, and the entire NBA is watching.
Klutch and Simmons have been very childish during their trade attempts, from reportedly trying to pull Tyrese Maxey out of Philadelphia to liking Instagram posts and refusing to meet with his teammates in California.
I am still in the boat that the 76ers should hold onto Simmons as long as necessary to get the proper deal and fine him as much as possible if he won’t show up. 76ers training camp is in just a few days and there looks to be no end in sight for the foreseeable future.
