Lane Johnson likely won’t play against Carolina on Sunday

After early optimism yesterday that Lane Johnson would be back for Sunday’s game against Carolina, that no longer seems to be the case. According to Derrick Gunn, it seems doubtful that Johnson plays this Sunday and could miss his second-straight game. Lane Johnson has been out due to personal reasons, and hopefully, everything is okay with him in his life.

If Lane Johnson is out again, the Eagles will likely stay pat with the offensive line they ran against Kansas City. Jack Driscoll would start at right tackle while Nate Herbig would be at guard. The only change would be the return of Jordan Mailata at left tackle. That won’t change anything for Driscoll with Andre Dillard never playing right tackle in his career.

Going into last week, Jack Driscoll was going to start at right guard until Johnson was named a last-minute inactive, leading to Driscoll having to slide out. The good news is that the Eagles’ injury report has been very slim, so there could be no other inactives besides Lane Johnson.
