Pick Tracker: Miami could acquire Deshaun Watson this week, what this means for the Eagles

It looks like the Eagles could take a drastic hit to their top draft selection. A few hours ago, it was reported by the Houston Chronicle that a Deshaun Watson trade could go down with the Miami Dolphins this week. Watson is currently under investigation by the NFL and has yet to play a game this season.
Philadelphia owns the Miami Dolphins’ pick, which is projected to be second overall currently. While fans think this could tank that draft pick, it will likely be a massive boost for the Eagles. With the ongoing situation, there is not a chance Deshaun Watson sees the field until the investigation finishes, which likely won’t be until after the season.
Alongside that, the Texans would probably be receiving Tua Tagovailoa back in the deal, leaving Miami with just Jacoby Brissett available. The only reason Watson hasn’t been put on the Commissioner’s exempt list is that Houston has kept him inactive, and there was no reason to do so.
Deshaun Watson would likely be available at the start of the 2022 season if he is cleared of his charges, but that does not affect Philadelphia. Miami is gearing up for their game against the Atlanta Falcons this week while the Eagles are traveling to Vegas to face the Raiders.
