76ers fans have a hard time realizing how dumb they look on Twitter reacting to a Liberty Line tweet

Man, I really didn’t think people were this stupid. That was clearly my first mistake. Mistake number two happened when I thought people on Twitter (of all places) would understand a tweet about acting like idiots at the Wells Fargo Center last night while they were in attendance for the 76ers home opener against the Brooklyn Nets. I clearly forgot that there is only a small percentage of people on Twitter that can actually use their brain. That’s mistake number two.
From there, I’ve been 100% correct. I don’t even fault these morons who can’t see through the bullshit. I’m sure most of them are butt hurt Stoolies that are mad because I posted a Barstool Philly video showing some of the dumbest “76ers fans” literally acting like clowns last night in and around the Philadelphia sports complex.
Clearly, we seem to be running into an issue with the tweet above. I thought it was pretty clear, but apparently, we’re the clowns and not the actual people dressed like clowns? That literally makes zero sense. I’ll explain.
It is perfectly fine to criticize Ben Simmons. I have. All over Twitter and all over this website. It’s also fine to create t-shirts that have funny images and sayings such as the one’s below.
Yeah. We sure did, Dime. And we sold a shit load of them too. DM me and maybe I can help show you how to run a successful e-commerce business. Oh, and I actually manage the corporate partnership between the company I work for and the Philadelphia 76ers and guess what? Everyone wore the Ben Simmons clown shirts to the game last night.
You know what we didn’t do?
We didn’t burn Ben Simmons jerseys in the parking lot. We didn’t “plan outfits” and tag Barstool Philly in the pictures before we went to the game with hopes that Smitty or Rone would repost it and make our nights. We didn’t seek out content creators and fuck headless Ben Simmons piñatas in the parking lot. We didn’t go out of our way to cause a scene and start “fuck Ben Simmons” chants in the stands like a bunch of drunk underage kids who got their feelings hurt.
There’s a way to do things and there’s a way to act like idiots and hurt the overall message. Anyone doing that shit down at the stadium, hurts the overall message. If any of you idiots watched Sports Center last night, maybe it would have made more sense. The entire segment about the Sixers game was focused on the fans and their immature and stupid antics at the game rather than the game itself. They brought up how Philly fans are “tough to play for”, just fueling their storylines for the rest of the week. You are literally feeding the national media and all of their talking heads exactly what the narrative that they want.
Is that really so hard to understand?
Anyone who can’t understand this are probably the same ones that flipped cars all over Broad Street and ate horse shit off the ground after the Eagles won the Super Bowl. They’re the same ones who throw popcorn at Russell Westbrook and start “Fuck Ben Simmons” chants at Flyers and AEW games. You’re all a bunch of dorks.
Back to the original tweet. Isn’t everyone tired of this entire conversation surrounding Ben Simmons? Don’t you want to reach a resolution and not hear idiots like Emmanuel Acho and Kendrick Perkins tell you how bad you are as a Sixers fan? Aren’t you tired of people like Jason Dumas telling the national media that there were organized boo groups planning to harass Ben Simmons upon his return to Philadelphia? Apparently not. The way you are acting would prove otherwise.
The entire tweet is centered around the fact that IF you are going to act like a clown, then you can’t get mad WHEN the national media calls Philadelphia sports fans clowns. It’s literally the easiest tweet ever to understand. Why are some of you so dumb? Maybe get off Twitter and go take a Marketing and Public Relations class and you’ll understand where I’m coming from.
We literally have Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid, the two leaders on the Sixers and honestly, in our community basically tell you that you’re all stupid too. You don’t have to listen to me, but maybe listen to their advice instead? If not, I really can’t help you. The majority of people understood the tweet and actually agreed with it.
The rest of you? You’re all idiots. I’m sorry. You’re softer than Ben Simmons. Grow the fuck up and quit letting your emotions get involved with everything. Try to see the bigger picture. If not, good luck and stay out of my mentions.
[…] To the parking lot t-shirt sellers, it’s time we have a talk. I have written more than a few articles about the antics that happen outside of the Wells Fargo Center this year. We had the one guy having sex with a headless Ben Simmons piñata and a bunch more completely missing the irony of them dressing up like actual clowns. […]
[…] I told them they were losers for having sex headless Ben Simmons piñatas and failing to use their tiny brains when realizing the difference between selling t-shirts and dressing up like actual clowns in public. That would be ridiculous and […]
