Several teams interested in Andre Dillard ahead of NFL Trade Deadline

The trade market is heating up for the Philadelphia Eagles. Just over a week after trading tight end Zach Ertz, teams are now inquiring about Andre Dillard. According to Ian Rapaport, the Eagles are not looking to move Dillard for the sake of trading him. However, opposing teams feel a good second or third-round pick would be enough to acquire the former first-round pick.
Andre Dillard has filled in nicely this season at left tackle, having several outstanding games for the Eagles but struggled a bit last week against Tampa Bay. With how unstable the Eagles offensive line has been, I doubt that a trade is conducted during the season unless it’s a second-rounder.
Jordan Mailata has solidified himself as the left tackle of the future, while Lane Johnson is just 31 and has several great seasons left. Johnson’s injury history in prior seasons could lead to a move, but Mailata isn’t good on the right side, and Dillard can’t play RT. Andre Dillard’s contract isn’t up this season, so there is no rush to make a move, but the market could be at its best when teams are desperate.Â
The NFL Trade Deadline is just over a week away, so any move won’t be far from now. So far, no other Eagle has been discussed in any trade packages. But with how Howie Roseman is, that could change in an instant.
