Eagles not likely to move Andre Dillard ahead of 4 P.M. trade deadline

Despite some previous rumors the former first-round pick could be on the move, it seems like Andre Dillard is staying in Philly for the foreseeable future. According to a report from NJ.com, the Eagles are holding onto Dillard through the trade deadline. There were some teams interested in Dillard, but their offers were just not enough.
Holding onto Andre Dillard makes a lot of sense for this season. He has had a tremendous bounce-back performance after a shaky rookie season. With Jordan Mailata and Lane Johnson often injury-prone, having Dillard available eases the loss of one of those two.
For the long-term, it’s doubtful that Andre Dillard remains in Philadelphia for a while. The best time to find a new home for him would be this offseason when teams want to bolster their offensive line and could pay a higher price than currently. It also allows the Eagles to find his replacement in the draft or free agency without rushing around.
The NFL Trade Deadline is just two hours away, and no moves are expected at the moment. Fletcher Cox has been discussed, but it’s nearly impossible for the Eagles to move on from their veteran defensive tackle due to his contract situation.
