Raiders fan reads newspaper, showing exactly what opposing fan bases feel while playing the Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles embarrassed themselves in Las Vegas in a 33-22 loss to the Raiders yesterday. Much like everything else this season, the game was bad. After an impressive opening drive with Miles Sanders running the ball down the field, Sanders was injured and carted off the field. From there, the same old issues that we’ve seen all season started to arise.
The game was no where close as the score indicated. Of course, Jalen Hurts and the Eagles got yet another garbage time touchdown to make the final scoreboard look somewhat respectable. The defense was brutal and has been historically bad this season. Everything sucks when talking football in Philadelphia right now.

The Birds have been frustrating all season. To be clear, no one thought that they were going to be contenders heading into this year. However, we did hope that we would be able to have somewhat of a “fact finding” season where we could really see the young talent on our team.
Instead we are seven weeks in and still really don’t have any answers. The play calling has been terrible, which makes it tough to actually see what we have in our young playmakers on offense. That’s not to take away from Jalen Hurts, who has been everything but good behind center.
My guy E Rock was in Vegas for the game and posted some pictures and videos on Twitter of a guy just sitting there reading a newspaper during the game. It was absolutely perfect. Just a guy, sitting there checking out the crossword puzzle while the Eagles were embarrassing themselves yet again on the field. Opposing fan bases literally have ZERO concern when playing this Eagles team.
As E Rock said in his tweet the picture really captured the essence of playing the Eagles fan this year. There’s nothing interesting happening on the field. We aren’t learning anything. There’s zero excitement on either side of the ball.
The offense is stale. Jonathan Gannon’s defense refuses to make adjustments. Everything sucks. Opposing teams and fan bases know what’s coming every time Philadelphia steps foot on the field. They know exactly how to beat the Eagles and have full confidence that they are going to do just that.

The image and video were captured by E Rock at the start of the 4th quarter. Boston Scott scored a touchdown to make the score 30-14. Nice.
As the Eagles scored another meaningless touchdown, E Rock posted a video of this guy still, just sitting, reading the paper without a care in the world.
How embarrassing. Big changes are needed. Who knows how long the leash is on guys like Johnathan Gannon and Nick Sirianni. Dare I say that I would rather see Gardner Minshew behind center? We still have more than half of the Eagles season left and I’m losing my mind.
Send help. Anybody. And make sure you follow EROCK on Twitter for a bunch of killer Eagles content.
