Jesus Christ, Howard. Yesterday, it was announced that Bryce Harper won the 2021 National League Outstanding Player Award. Harper continues to bring home awards this offseason, with the MVP award waiting to be announced in the coming weeks. You can check out a full schedule of key dates here. So of course, resident Bozo Howard Eskin had something stupid to say on Twitter with a quote from John Middleton. I know, it already sounds like a nightmare and I hate mentioning John Middleton and Howard Eskin together in any sentence. For that, I apologize. But let’s take a look at Howard Eskin tweeting dumb things and pretending to be mad about something meaningless part 1,000,000.

John Middleton said “Bryce’s 2021 season was one of the greatest in our franchise’s history.” Howard Eskin literally wrote that in one of his own tweets. Then questioned why Schmidt, Howard, Rollins, Utley, and Carlton weren’t mentioned because they one rings.

Well Howard, when someone says “one of..” that typically indicates there are other people involved, but just not being mentioned because, well, they have nothing to do about the topic at hand. Middleton was specifically commenting on Bryce Harper winning the MLBPA NL Outstanding Player award. It would have been downright weird for him to go back and start saying “Harper had a great season but lets not forget about Mike Schmidt, Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, and Steve Carlton, they actually won rings.”

Look, I honestly don’t really care what Howard Eskin tweets. It’s all a bunch of hot garbage. The reason I even write about these things is to simply show how stupid the media can be at times. This is the classic definition of fake outrage. Eskin literally was trying to find something to be mad about and that’s annoying.

His comments on Ben Simmons were annoying too and our guy James Birrane already addressed those last week.

I’m also not defending John Middleton, so I hope people don’t think that’s the case either. Much like Eskin’s tweet, Phillies ownership is hot garbage too. Anyways, carry on with your day. Just a quick vent session on Howard Eskin and how big of a fraud he continues to be. Cheers.
