With the his football team struggling, Nick Sirianni seems to have finally ditched the pandering t-shirts we saw over the first few weeks of the season. Since then, he turned to using flower analogies to describe the Eagles train wreck that we’ve seen over the past few weeks. Today, at a press conference, he was spotted with an interesting choice of shoes. According to some, they’re pretty “dope”.

Mike Kaye seems like a good guy. He’s a solid Eagles beat writer for NJ.com but honestly, what is he talking about? I’m a pretty big sneaker head and these have to be some of the ugliest pair of Nike shoes I’ve ever seen. Also, are beat reporters missing the t-shirts that much? Mike, why did you take a picture of this man’s shoes? I’m glad you did. The visor has always been suspect, the pandering t-shirts were too. Now we know that outside the traditional Eagles’ merchandise, Sirianni struggles in the fashion department. Our good friend and colleague Ryan Conway called these shoes the “Super Soaker 12’s”. Obviously it’s Friday and a very slow news day. But are we being forced to choose between funny t-shirts or good shoes? Please don’t make me. Can we just have a good head coach for once? I don’t even want to imagine what Sirianni will move to next if they can’t beat the winless Lions in Detroit on Sunday. And Mike, I think we need to talk about your shoe styles if you think these are cool. I promise you, they are everything but that. We can wait until the offseason to continue that discussion.
