Phillies No. 4 Prospect continues to get important at-bats in the Arizona Fall League

Well, the Braves are officially World Series Champions. The MLB season is over, and the Phillies offseason can officially kick off. Awards are being announced, financial decisions will be made soon, and much more important offseason events will unfold over the winter for Major League Baseball. Although the season is over, the minor league guys are still getting daily playing time in the Arizona Fall League. Multiple Phillies prospects are taking part in the AFL, including the #16 overall prospect in the Phillies’ organization, Simon Muzziotti.
Muzziotti is playing for the Peoria Javelinas, along with Bryson Stott (INF), Logan O’Hoppe (C), James McArthur (P), and Hans Crouse (P). He’s hitting .293/.431/.317 in 41 at-bats this fall, with a .748 OPS. Muzziotti has tacked on 12 hits, 11 RBIs, and 2 stolen bases with the Javelinas. He hit .296/.375/.380 in 71 at-bats throughout the minors this season, with 21 hits and 12 RBIs.

Muzziotti was in the lineup on Monday for the Javelinas and continued his hot fall at the plate. He finished the game 2-4 with two walks, and a run scored in the Javelinas 15-15 tie after 10 innings of baseball. Muzziotti’s “ETA” to be up with the team is predicted to be 2022, according to MLB.com. He’s going to need more Triple-A time, but don’t rule out seeing Muzziotti potentially make an appearance towards the middle/end of next season.
