76ers-Bulls: Preview, Odds, Predictions

Despite a million different reasons to think otherwise, the Philadelphia 76ers currently sit atop of the Eastern Conference with an 8-2 record through the first 10 games of the 2021 season. They just beat the Detroit Pistons 109-98 and were guided by strong play from both Seth Curry and Tyrese Maxey.
The entire Bench Mob for the 76ers have really stepped up in the early goings of this year while Embiid is off to a slow start with a nagging knee injury, Tobias Harris is currently out under the COVID-19 protocols, and yes, Ben Simmons, who is now being fined again for missing games after refusing to share medical information with the 76ers organization. All that aside, we have basketball to play. Tonight, the Sixers will be in Chicago to face the Bulls.

Team | Moneyline | Spread | Total |
Philadelphia 76ers | +143 | +4 (-109) | O 215.5 (-112) |
Chicago Bulls | -175 | -4 (-112) | U (215.5 (-109) |
Tonight is going to be a tough game to win for the Sixers. It was announced yesterday that Matisse Thybulle has also entered health and safety protocols and will miss tonight’s game. The Sixers were able to cover a 2.5 point line as home favorites last week and followed it up with a 4.5 point cover against the Pistons in Detroit on Thursday.
Still with Tobias Harris, Matisse Thybulle, and Ben Simmons all out tonight, and Furkan Korkmaz, Danny Green, and presumably Joel Embiid all listed as questionable, it’s hard to imagine that the 76ers will find a way to pull out a win tonight in Chicago. The Bulls will enter tonight after coming off of two days rest and regardless of what happened last week against the Sixers, they are a very good shooting team and are tremendous at limiting turnovers. The Bulls are shooting 46.9 percent from the floor this season and only allow 10.8 turnovers per game at home which is the smallest amount throughout the entire NBA.
The Sixers will likely have some issues slowing down DeMar DeRozan and company tonight in Chicago. Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic will certainly score more points than they did against the Sixers in Philadelphia. The Sixers took game one, but I’m going to have to go with the Bulls at home tonight to take game two of the season series.
Parx Sportsbook Prediction: Bulls -4 (-112) and U 215.5 (-109)
