The 76ers return home tonight to face the New York Knicks on the first leg of a back-to-back

The Philadelphia 76ers are back at home tonight for the first leg of a back-to-back. Tonight, they will welcome the New York Knicks to the Wells Fargo, hoping to extend their winning streak to seven games. The 76ers are first in the Eastern Conference with an 8-2 record. The Knicks will enter tonight in seventh place in the East with a record of 6-4.
The Sixers had the day off yesterday after winning on Saturday night against the Bulls in Chicago. Joel Embiid lead The Sixers with 30 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 4-5 from three point range. Furkan Korkmaz nailed seven three pointers and finished the game with 25 points off the bench. Seven out of eight Sixers who played in Chicago scored in double digits.
Needless to say, The Sixers are on absolute fire right now and even jumped eight spots to rank number one in this week’s ESPN Power Rankings. The Knicks lost last night to the Cavaliers at home. Ricky Rubio scored a career high 37 points and the Cavs rolled the Knicks 126-109.
Knicks handed the Sixers one of their two losses this season on October 26th at Madison Square Garden. They beat up on the 76ers 112-99 and honestly, was the only real loss for The Sixers in the early goings of the 2021 season. The Sixers had the Nets beat until a 4th quarter collapse in which they lost at home.
According to the early Injury Report, it looks like the Knicks will be without Kemba Walker as well, who will be taking a rest game tonight. The Sixers have a bunch of players on the COVID health and safety list, but that hasn’t slowed them down in the slightest through the first 10 games of the season.
Knicks: Kemba Walker: out (rest).
INJURIES: 76ers: Ben Simmons: out (back), Matisse Thybulle: day to day (health and safety protocols), Grant Riller: out (knee), Tobias Harris: day to day (health protocols), Danny Green: day to day (hamstring), Isaiah Joe: day to day (health and safety protocols).

I love The Sixers winning tonight. They are clicking on all cylinders and are fortunate to catch the Knicks on the second night of a back-to-back on the road.

The point total on the game seems a bit low as well. Last year, the Knicks were bad on the road, going 4-8 in the Atlanta Division and 16-20 on the road. Still, they averaged 107.1 points per game and shot nearly 46% from the floor. As we all know, the 76ers play their best basketball in front of fans at the Wells Fargo Center.
