Union head coach Jim Curtin takes a shot at MLS following the reveal of their first playoff game time

Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin has some words for the MLS through his Instagram. The date and time for their first playoff match against the New York Red Bulls was revealed, and he found out through the MLS app.

Not only did Curtin criticize the time of his teams playoff game, he also took a shot at the MLS’s official app. I agree with Curtin on this one. The second seeded team in the Eastern Conference has a 12:00 pm eastern game? That’s ridiculous, and the fact that he had to find this out through the app not from an MLS official is poor practice from the MLS. He’s the head coach of a professional soccer team, and the MLS couldn’t send him an email or a phone call to inform him of his teams’ schedule before the general public?
A person commented on this post saying that a 12 pm kickoff time for a playoff game is “ideal”. Curtin didn’t seem to take this comment too well, as he should.

If you are reading this coach, I’m sure the great Sons of Ben would love to have eggs and bacon with the team before the first playoff game. Someone could definitely arrange plans for that. The Union play their first playoff game on Saturday November 20th, and I’m sure this is not the last we will hear from Jim Curtin regarding the time of this game.
