Shams joined the Pat McAfee show to provide another useless update on Ben Simmons

Shams joined the Pat McAfee show today to talk about a bunch of different topics. Of course, it wouldn’t be a relaxing Monday without mentioning the Philadelphia 76ers and Ben Simmons. Apparently Shams loves to drop a Ben Simmons update whenever Klutch Sports gives him the green light to do so. Funny how it typically happens on Mondays and/or game days isn’t it?
This time, its Shams giving his opinion on whether or not Simmons will ever play for the 76ers again. His answer in short, was that he doesn’t believe Simmons will ever play in Philadelphia again.
“There’s no signs that he’s any closer to getting back on the court.. I don’t see a way Ben Simmons steps back on the floor for the 76ers”
I wouldn’t say it’s shocking news at all. It’s literally the same recycled updates we have been steadily getting for the last two months. However, I’m not sure how Ben Simmons expects to get traded without taking the court for the Philadelphia 76ers. Will any team actually want him without seeing him on the court, shooting the basketball, and proving that his “mental issues” are a thing of the past?
Again, it seems like a bad move from Ben Simmons and the Klutch Sports camp. Obviously, nothing has improved. The 76ers are in the midst of a six game road trip, Ben Simmons is back home practicing at St. Joes University, and the 76ers are fining him.
We literally have nothing else to work with. There’s no end in sight. I want to stop writing about Ben Simmons but I’m a slave to the clicks. People love hearing how dumb Simmons is being and how this situation is never coming to an end.
As Daryl Morey has told us, “buckle up” this is going to take a while. At the very least, we’re riding this bizarre Ben Simmons saga into early 2022. Just pray something happens at the trade deadline or else this will continue into next year.
As for the Philadelphia 76ers, they are back in action tonight against the Sacramento Kings. Check out the full game preview here from TLL’s newest hire, Brielle Berry.
