Giants fire offensive coordinator ahead of matchup against Eagles

After suffering an embarrassing loss last night to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the New York Giants are making a massive change ahead of their game against the Eagles. The Giants are firing offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, the former head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Garrett joined the Giants last season and has been underwhelming since his arrival.
There is yet to be any clear replacement for New York, and Sunday will likely be the second time the Eagles will be facing a team without their OC in three weeks. The last time was Denver, who was without theirs due to COVID-19. A possible candidate is former Browns head coach Freddie Kitchens.
The Eagles’ defense has been better in recent weeks and should have another great showing in their second divisional game. With Davion Taylor out, Philly could throw a lot more blitzes, allowing Alex Singleton to attack the QB and force Daniel Jones to make quick throws.
