Several key Giants to miss Sunday’s game against Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles could once again be playing another injury-riddled team this week. Yesterday, the New York Giants released their final injury report for this Sunday, and numerous key Giants are out or questionable. For the Eagles, only Jordan Howard is out, while cornerback Tay Gowan is questionable.

Sterling Shepard is the critical Giant ruled out, having missed several games throughout this season. Alongside Shepard, rookie wideout Kadarius Toney is doubtful alongside tight end Kyle Rudolph. Rudolph is New York’s TE2, so not a huge loss, but Toney and Sterling severely cripple Daniel Jones’ options.

Arguably the most significant listing is running back Saquon Barkley, who is questionable with an ankle injury. Barkley has been ruined by New York, being riddled with injuries, and has been a shell of himself recently. Over six games, the former Penn State back has 220 yards, averaging just 36.6 a game.

If the Eagles attack Daniel Jones like they did Trevor Siemian, this should be another easy matchup. The Giants are in shambles, losing so many players and just firing their offensive coordinator. With Dallas losing on Thursday, tomorrow is a prime opportunity to gain ground on the battle for the NFC East.
