Washington places starting QB on COVID-19 list, signs emergency QB to play vs. Eagles

The hell storm of COVID outbreaks among the Washington Football Team rages on.
Per Ian Rapoport and multiple league sources, starting QB Taylor Heinicke has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list:

Washington has been decimated by COVID-19 all week, having 21 total players on the reserve list. According to ESPN, the team is signing QB Garrett Gilbert off New England’s practice squad and could potentially play against the Eagles on Sunday.
With Ryan Fitzpatrick on IR and backup Kyle Allen already on the COVID list, Washington’s current active QBs are Gilbert, Kyle Shurmur and Jordan Ta’amu.
Shurmur — the likely starter — has yet to play a single snap in the NFL.
Right now, it would be Kyle Shurmur starting for the #WashingtonFootball Team against the #Eagles on Sunday. Unless Kyle Allen can test out of the protocol by tomorrow.
