Eagles fans ranked among Top 5 Most Miserable in NFL

Eagles fans are officially the fifth-most miserable in the NFL, at least according to a recent survey conducted by Lineups.com. It seems these lists come out every few months, and regardless of the exact criteria, we Eagles fans always seem to fall on the extremes of the ranking spectrum.

We’ve been rated the drunkest, the most competently violent, and everything in-between.

Honestly? I usually hate lists like this, but it’s pretty damn accurate. Here’s the full ranking of all 32 fanbases:

To determine our ranking, we surveyed 2,008 NFL fans across the country in November 2021 and asked them whether they’ve ever become emotionally upset while watching an NFL game. Respondents were also asked to rank the most miserable fan bases in the league. Among respondents, 50% were male and 50% were female with an average age of 37.

This list is pretty decent in terms of who becomes most emotional during games. Eagles fans end up in the fifth spot because, well, we won a Super Bowl four years ago.

Meanwhile, Dallas, Cleveland, Detroit, and the Jets all haven’t sniffed any kind of real success in essentially 20 years. Now THAT is a miserable existence.

However, despite the Eagles’ relative success over the past two decades, the fans are America’s most prominent group of miserabs. Even when things are great, we can always find an issue because we know improvement is never-ending. Also, we’re drunken assholes, and I love us for it.

Regardless, we’ve still dealt with plenty of heartbreak of our own.
