Eagles list 3 running backs on first injury report of the week

The Philadelphia Eagles released their first injury report of the week yesterday afternoon and to say the very least, things could be looking much better on the offensive side of the football.

Nine total players were listed for the Eagles, with three players on “rest days”. Seven of the nine players were members of the Eagles’ starting offense.

Eagles Injury Report for December 29th:

Jordan Howard was the most notable inactive, missing practice with a stinger. Stingers are often minor injuries, so missing practice this far into the week makes it appear to be more severe than initially thought.

Alongside Howard, Miles Sanders didn’t practice and was already ruled out for Sunday. Rookie running back Kenneth Gainwell was limited, leaving Boston Scott as the only healthy running back on the roster.

Nick Sirianni alluded that K’Von Wallace should be good to play against the Washington Football Team, so him being inactive isn’t too worrying. Jalen Hurts was limited once again with his ankle injury.

It has been almost a month since Hurts sprained his ankle against the Giants, so he should be nearing 100% soon. It’s clear Hurts wasn’t there just yet this past weekend, rushing just two times for seven yards.

For Washington, starting quarterback Taylor Heinicke was a full participant in yesterday’s practice and should be good to go this Sunday.
