Eagles activate Barnett, lose linebacker ahead of matchup against Washington

The Eagles’ defensive line is receiving a much-needed boost this weekend. Defensive end Derek Barnett has been activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list and is available for Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team.
Barnett tested positive on Monday but is able to return due to the NFL’s new COVID policy. The Eagles’ D-Line depth was looking slim after Ryan Kerrigan, Tarron Jackson, and Barnett were placed under protocols. Luckily, all three have since returned and will be good to go.
After Barnett’s return, cornerback Andre Chachere is the only member of the active roster on the COVID list. There’s a possibility he will return before Sunday, but it’s not likely.
Earlier Saturday morning, Shaun Bradley was ruled out for precautionary measures after getting into a minor car accident. Bradley is okay, but suffered a minor shoulder injury.
The Eagles’ linebacker will join Miles Sanders on the sideline as the team’s only inactives due to injury. Jordan Howard returned to practice, but is listed as questionable after suffering a stinger against the Giants.
