Jalen Hurts sends letter to Washington Football Team following railing collapse

As Jalen Hurts was walking out of FedEx Field on Sunday, a railing collapsed sending fans to the ground.

Thankfully, Hurts was able to avoid getting hurt and now he’s taking matters into his own hands regarding the safety of all parties involved.

After numerous reports of Washington’s staff failing to offer medical assistance to those who fell, Hurts sent a letter to the organization asking what follow-up precautions will be put into place to prevent this from happening in the future:

As mentioned above, Hurts remained calm throughout but that doesn’t take away from the danger of the situation. ESPN’s Tim McManus also reported that one fan was “diagnosed with a cervical strain and a head injury along with elbow and knee contusions.”

Kudos to Hurts for taking the lead and trying to rectify these issues before it happens again. We now wait to see what preventative measures Washington will take in response.
