NBC Sports Washington criticizes Jalen Hurts for sending letter about player safety

Just when you thought we were reaching new levels of maturity as Philadelphia Eagles fans, we are now back down in the mud. 23-year old quarterback Jalen Hurts wrote a beautiful letter to the NFL and the Washington Football Team yesterday asking what follow-up action will be taken after a “near-tragic incident” when a railing collapsed Sunday at FedEx field.
Hurts response to what happened was an incredible sign of maturity and a true testament to how much of a leader he has become during his short time in Philadelphia. But of course, Washington Football Team fans and media personalities, couldn’t acknowledge that.
Instead, this is the approach Mitchell Tischler from NBC Sports Washington decided to take. I’ll include an image just incase Mitchell decides to delete his tweet. It’s hyperlinked here. As you can see, it’s a quote tweet of Jalen Hurts’ letter.

If you’re an Eagles fan reading the stupid tweet above, you’re probably immediately thinking the following:
Mitchell begins by saying “Not to take anything away from Sunday but…” then continues by literally taking everything away from Sunday. It’s literally quote tweeting Hurts’ letter, ultimately taking away from the original tweet to share his opinion.
What does Jalen Hurts sending a letter to the NFL and the Washington Football Team have to do with fans?
Why is Mitchell Tischler such an idiot?
In the age of misinformation, why is Mitchell Tischler feeding into the propaganda machine?
Furthermore, has anyone actually seen Eagles fans “pelt team busses entering the stadium with whatever they can heave”? I’ve been looking across the internet all morning and have found no video evidence of this happening. You would think in 2021, there’s easily, I don’t know, thousands if not millions of videos showing this type of behavior.
Are we supposed to believe that after videos are all over the internet of every Eagles tailgate and celebration, including a fan eating horse shit on broad street, that there is not one single video of fans heaving “whatever the can” at opposing team busses? Have the Eagles, Philadelphia Police, and any staff down by the stadiums completely blacked this out from appearing on the internet?
What history are we talking about here, Mitchell? Please, for the love of God, don’t mention throwing snowballs at Santa Claus. I’ll even go a step further in helping you out by providing you with the only good examples you have.
Exhibit A:
Eagles fans fight Mike Scott who was wearing a Washington Redskins Football Team jersey.
Exhibit B:
After the NFC Championship game against the Vikings, there were a few beer cans thrown at the Vikings bus. Video evidence of that happening is right here:
The replies to Mitchell’s dumbass tweet are even better, and the majority of them are completely made up stories. What in the world is going on here? I will take things that didn’t happen for $5 million, please.

A few weeks ago, on that Tuesday night game at the Linc against the WFT, I was literally tailgating with Washington fans decked out in their teams colors. You see opposing jerseys throughout the stadium and no one is treating them bad and certainly no security is telling you to remove your hat because of safety concerns.
Mitchell’s tweet provides unnecessary commentary about the situation. FedEx Field is an absolute dump. Everyone knows that. It’s literally a shit hole, with sewage pouring onto fans on more than one occasion. They haven’t even updated their old branding throughout the stadium, and we don’t even have to get into their owner and all the creepy shit he has done in the past.
Oh! Back to the original quote tweet. A huge part of their stands collapsed, hurting fans, and putting a players safety in danger. Afterwards, these fans were told by security to “shut the fuck up and get off the field” and were reportedly not even offered medical attention.
If you haven’t realized by now, Mitchell Tischler’s tweet is a load of dog shit and all the replies underneath it really bring out just how shitty Washington Football Team fans really are. How anyone could be upset by Jalen Hurts writing a letter about their stadium falling apart and the safety of players and fans is beyond me. The Washington Football Team franchise is valued at $4.2 billion dollars and people are now defending them and trying to criticize Jalen Hurts and Eagles fans?
Yeah. That doesn’t make sense to me but honestly I’m not surprised. WFT is a poverty franchise with a scum bag owner and an even worse fanbase.
