All Business: Jalen Hurts had no problem ignoring dumb questions during yesterday’s media availability

The Philadelphia Eagles held their first media availability of the week yesterday with players speaking ahead of Sunday’s playoff game in against the Buccaneers. Jalen Hurts took the podium and wasn’t really interested in a few questions that were unrelated to the game Sunday.
When answering Hurts (rightfully so) ignored a question from the player-dreaded Jeff McLane.
We already know Eagles players don’t like McLane, and this isn’t the first time his questions have been ignored by Eagles players. Back in August Fletcher Cox entirely ignored McLane’s presence while he asked Cox a question. Pretty comical actually, guy couldn’t catch the hint.
McLane caught the “ignore button” again yesterday, this time from Hurts, when asking Hurts about a high school game that was played in 2015. The question was about the first playoff game of Hurts’ football career and how that relates to his first NFL playoff start.
Eh, I can see both sides. I understand the relation McLane was trying to make, but the question wasn’t great and Hurts clearly wasn’t willing to answer it. Personally, I think the question was stupid and somewhat idiotic, given the fact there’s a million other things to ask and no one cares about Hurts in high school, but whatever.
Jeff McLane Clip:
The main issue I have is that McLane is asking a question about a 2015 football game that Hurts LOST 72-21. So if you thought the question was “relevant”, sorry I just don’t see the point. It comes off ignorant and again, there are way better question to ask leading into Wild Card weekend.
Jalen Hurts is the youngest quarterback to ever make the playoffs, but sure Eagles media, lets go back to high school losses and talk about that instead. We can’t be serious. Credit to QB1 for just completely ignoring McLane.
McLane wasn’t the only one asking dumb questions.
Here comes another reporter with a dumb question about Jalen Hurts and Tom Brady, and the age difference between them and how Jalen Hurts was three years old when Brady was already playing in the NFL. Seriously? This question stinks for a few reasons.
No one remembers things from when they were three years old.
The question comes off like you’re treating Jalen Hurts like a child
Stop fishing for Tom Brady “GOAT” compliments ahead of a playoff game against him.
Jalen Hurts responds and says he doesn’t remember ANYTHING about Tom Brady. He probably does, but the competitor in Hurts saying that ahead of Sunday had me ready to run through a brick wall. Talk about laser focus and not taking any bullshit.
Way to stay focused, Jalen, even while the media annoys the both of us.
The Philadelphia Eagles play against Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay Sunday at 1 p.m. Go Birds.
