Ronde Barber attempts to troll Eagles ahead of tomorrow’s Wild Card game

The Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have had a lengthy playoff history before tomorrow’s Wild Card matchup. From 2000 to 2003, these two teams played each other three times in the postseason, with the Eagles winning two of the three games.
Former Buccaneers cornerback Ronde Barber has been doing film breakdowns this season for Tampa Bay, similar to what Fran Duffy does for the Eagles. In an attempt to troll the Eagles, Barber decided to break down his own film from their several matchups in the early 2000s.
Barber is known best by Eagles fans for his pick-six that sealed the Buccaneers victory in the 2003 NFC Championship, one of the worst memories in Eagles’ history.
Many Philadelphia fans consider the 5x All-Pro amongst the most hated opposing athlete in the city’s history. Kudos to Tampa Bay for finding the perfect jab at Eagles fans ahead of tomorrow’s game.
The entire bit comes off kind of corny. Barber praising himself in some soft, monotone voice is pretty boring. The video is five minutes long and I was over it after the first minute and 30 seconds. I guess when you can count your career defining plays on one hand, you have to drink from that well until it’s dry.
It was also pretty convenient that Barber didn’t mention that Donovan McNabb completed 69% of his passes during the team’s two victories during their early 2000 battle.
The Eagles have a prime opportunity to knock out the Buccaneers tomorrow afternoon, shutting up all of their cocky fans and alumni. Until then, let them talk. It’ll only make them look more stupid.
