Eagles sign 11 players to Reserve/Future contracts

Following the conclusion of the 2021 season, the Eagles have signed 11 players to Reserve/Futures contracts. These deals are typical to see, with teams signing practice squad players alongside late-round draft picks to a one-year deal.
These contracts have a near non-existent cap hit, and most players signed to these deals are only kept for training camp next season or their practice squad if they clear waivers.
Among the notable names are Craig James, Mac McCain, and linebacker JaCoby Stevens. Stevens and McCain have some upside, but have a long way to go to prove themselves on this roster.
Most, if not all of these players, will likely be gone next season by the time the final 53-man roster is announced before Week One. Philadelphia is expected to have upwards of $30 million in cap space this offseason, with potentially even more on the way. Some of the team’s notable free agents include Jason Kelce, Steven Nelson, and Rodney McLeod.
