Tyrese Maxey was on The Fanatic this morning discussing trash talking Embiid, being a Cowboys fan, and modeling his game after Tony Parker

The Philadelphia 76ers beat up on a bad Orlando Magic team last night, winning 123-110 in South Philadelphia. Joel Embiid stole the show, tying a career high with 50 points in the game. Embiid continued his dominance over the past two months, and has led the 76ers in scoring for 15 straight games.
The Sixers are now 8-2 over their last 10 games and sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
This morning, Tyrese Maxey joined 97.5 The Fanatic Morning Show for a 20 minute interview. Last night, Maxey scored 14 points on a very efficient 6-of-10 from the floor. He also hit 2-of-3 shots from beyond the arc.

While Embiid was going for a new career high from the foul line, Maxey apparently told Embiid that he wasn’t good at basketball (lol).
Maxey and Embiid’s relationship continues to get better and better. We all remember the press conferences where Embiid told Maxey he was trash after the Raptors game, only to have Maxey bounce back against the Nets, prompting Embiid to tell him “that’s how you respond to criticism“.
This is just another example of the budding relationship between Maxey and Embiid. When talking about Embiid and how he makes it a point to watch film of other basketball players to learn aspects of their game, to add to his game, Maxey said he does the same thing and has spent time learning from Tony Parker and his ability to work with Tim Duncan.
The interview continued with the guys at 97.5 asking Maxey about growing up in the Dallas area and if it was safe to assume he was a Cowboys fan.
Like a true professional, Maxey answered by saying that it was safe to assume that he was a Cowboys fan, but not one of those “I Hate The Eagles” types. He made sure to also say that he loves Philly and roots for the Eagles when they aren’t playing the Cowboys, and that he’s friends with a lot of guys on the Eagles roster.
Things wrapped up with the guys asking Maxey to sing the 76ers after Maxey urged reporters to sing with him after a win last week. During the press conference, no one joined in with Maxey, so they were hoping that he’d bite and sing with them on radio. Maxey declined, saying that he only sings after wins. Good on Tyrese for declining, he’s not just going to sing on queue fellas, cmon.
