StatMuse disrespects Kobe, a word of caution to Statsexuals

Today, the well-known NBA statistics website StatMuse drew ire on social media after posting an ill-advised tweet. The post contained a “stat” concerning the Laker’s record related to the second anniversary of the passing of Kobe Bryant.
StatMuse has deleted it, but Liberty Line sources have provided the following screenshot:

Look, I’ve already made it clear how I feel about StatMuse’s Twitter account, but this is bad even for them. I’ve warned everyone about statsexuals numerous times, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they called me stupid and claimed I didn’t finish high school.
Now, look at them. StatMuse, their literal god, has clearly gone down the shitter in recent weeks. Their Twitter account went from providing interesting nuggets of statistical information to rage baiting for engagement—embarrassing behavior.
The worst part? That isn’t even a stat. It’s a coincidence. The admins took a break from drooling all over their calculators long enough to notice these numbers line up and made a post about it.
This is what happens when people obsess too much over numbers. It’s too easy for people to get caught up in them, both in terms of basketball statistics and social media engagement. Unfortunately, they thought more about the numbers than the real world, something of which all statsexuals are guilty.
In StatMuse’s mind, a coincidental grouping of digits somehow took precedent over actually honoring Bryant’s legacy. That just doesn’t sit right with me.
Of course, they tried to sweep it under the rug and posted a replacement. But this one is even weaker than the first.
Hopefully, StatMuse’s Twitter troll days will come to an end soon. If not, the statsexuals win.
