WIP drops ‘Who do you want coaching the Eagles next year?’ poll including last 2 coaches

The 94.1 WIP Morning Show is garbage. We all know this. The showrunners seem to as well, as their social media presence is so mind-numbingly stupid it feels like a setup. Todayโ€™s Twitter poll, however, was a new low, even for the subterranean standards I have for those early-rising clowns.

The poll posited the simple question to fans: โ€œwho do you want coaching the Eagles year?โ€ Feel free to vote yourself below, but be warned, itโ€™s just as dumb as youโ€™d think.

Why, WIP? Why??

I don’t even really want to talk about the poll’s contents; you can see it clear as day. And, hey, you read The Liberty Line, so you’re probably smart enough to figure what’s wrong with it.

It isn’t easy to come up with an explanation for posting this other than to piss people off. I really can’t see any valuable conversation that could come from the results of that poll.

I understand the station has been built to simply trawl the depths of sports discourse to drive engagement, but this isnโ€™t even creative. If youโ€™re going to grift, at least try to conceal it.

Shit like this makes me long for content like the โ€œSexiest Man on the showโ€ poll they did a while back. I know I bashed them for it then, but if this is the alternative, I take it back.

Here’s the obligatory paragraph where I say I respect many people at WIP. Then the follow sentence saying a lot of them do great work. This is all true, but the Morning Show has none of those people.

At least, I don’t think? I wouldn’t know; I don’t listen to the show.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
