Delco native Auston Trusty to join Arsenal on loan

Delco native and Philadelphia Union Acadamey player Auston Trusty is being transferred from Colorado F.C to Arsenal on a loan deal this Summer. This certainly comes as a surprise with Arsenal being one of the top clubs in the world regardless of how poorly they have played in recent memory.
Trusty, the Delco native
This is big news for American soccer as yet another American player is entering one of the top leagues in the world, the Premier League. Trusty is from Media PA, and played 56 games for the Union before being traded in 2019 for general allocation money.
Trusty played 33 games in Colorado, scoring one goal and recording three assists. It is shocking to see Trusty leave, especially to the Premier League, but it seems that Arsenal will be loaning him out to other clubs to see him develop and to make more money.
The Union will actually be getting some money from this deal as it was a part of the contracted trade that sent him to Colorado. They will be getting 30 percent of the final transfer fee once revealed. The official plan has not been revealed, but it is neat to see a young local player going on of the best leagues in the world.
The Union head down to Clearwater tomorrow to play some preseason friendly matches before the start of the 2022 MLS Regular Season. We will get a chance to see the record-signing striker Mikael Uhre following the surprising transfer of Kacper Pryzblko. The Union look to bounce back following a disappointing end to last years season in the Eastern Conference Final.
