Chiaro’s Pizza sends out mailers with horrifying mistake, apologizes profusely

Chiaro’s Pizza in Skippack, PA, suffered a blunder of epic – and slightly pornographic – proportions this week. No, it wasn’t accusations of frozen sauce or low-grade ingredients. Instead, it was a fatal misprint on new mailers that caused trouble for the restaurant. An anonymous source provided The Liberty Line with an image of said mailer.
See if you can spot the problem. It admittedly took me a little to find it. Once I did, however, I wasn’t able to unsee it. Just be warned, there is some mild, Italian-cuisine-infused nudity below:

Still can’t see it? No worries!
Computer. Enhance.

Oh no, Chiaro’s…
Those of you familiar with internet memes will recognize that man’s, um, face anywhere. The meme has been used in tons of bait-and-switch pranks over the past decade or so.
Because of how old this meme is, I wonder if the photoshop was made years ago, and the creator has no idea their prank finally worked. Hell, they might not even remember having made it.
I do kinda hate that this happened though. Why did such a lovely family-friendly pizzeria get Dick Rolledâ„¢ like that? Such an unfortunate mistake for what seems to be a business run by wonderful people.
Of course, once they became aware of the mistake, the fine folks at Chiaro’s apologized profusely on their Facebook page:
“Dear Community,
We have been made aware of the situation regarding a recent ad, and unfortunately, neither us, or the Community Connections’ proof readers caught the subtle nature of what we thought was a tasteful photo of a cappuccino. We deeply apologize for letting this slip by. None of our proof readers, The Community Connection proof readers, or the actual printer proofers caught the mistake before it was printed and circulated. We are working on making sure this does not happen again. We at Chiaro’s pride ourselves on being a family oriented pizzeria and restaurant. This is a devastating situation for all of us involved as we are sure it has been for all of you. Please accept our sincerest apologies.”
The best part of this story (other than the naked man hidden in the cappuccino) has been the response from the community to Chiaro’s apology. Over 300 people liked the post, and even more left comments reassuring the owners there was no harm done. Some folks said they even gained a new customer.
I love that kind of response from the community. It’s so easy to be an asshole on the internet these days, so this story has really had a positive conclusion.
Another individual let their thoughts be known by direct message. They sympathized with the pizzeria, even saying the snitch that pointed it out to the restaurant should’ve just chuckled to themselves and left it alone.
“Whoever spotted and reported it has too much time on their hands.” They said. “In my honest opinion, Chiaro’s could’ve done without that headache.”
Regardless of how you feel about the situation, I think the only play here is for them to offer a sausage pizza special through Valentine’s Day.
