Dan Le Batard declares war on Philadelphia in stupid segment on Ben Simmons 76ers trade

Former ESPN legend and current enemy of the people, Dan Le Batard, has officially declared war on Philadelphia. That’s right, he and his band of thugs over at the checks notes Local Hour decided to pick a fight with the City of Brotherly Love.

I was incredibly surprised by this, mainly because I haven’t thought about Le Batard since Highly Questionable left the airwaves at ESPN. Apparently, the root of his gripe with Philly was that he was getting slammed on Twitter for something related to his Ben Simmons takes.

Here’s the rest of the clip Le Batard posted:

Of course, the producers left it intentionally short to get people to click on the link and see where it went wrong between Philly and Le Batard. I, of course, did not because I could not care less about another rat in the national media having anything to say about this city.

Also, I don’t even remember his takes on Ben Simmons, and I definitely don’t remember seeing people come at him on Twitter for them. I saw a lot of personalities get dragged. Still, those are people that are actually relevant, like Mina Kimes, Stephen A. Smith, and others that are still on a national network with the platform Le Batard misses so so dearly.

Even so, this really sticks in my craw, I can’t lie.

“I am ready for all of us to go to war with the city of Philadelphia.”

Dan Le Batard

Dan, do you seriously think you can just “declare war” on Philadelphia? Fuck you.

Philly’s at war with itself right now. We don’t need some radio show (that nobody short of their first colonoscopy listens to) occupying any of our attention beyond the obligatory middle finger.

In the end, Le Batard is just trying to poke the bear to get attention and publicity. But, hell, he got my attention, and I wrote a blog post about it. At the same time, I wrote it just to get your attention, so I’m unsure who wins here.

However, I think the real winners never think about Le Batard again. I can acknowledge greatness. The dude is a legend, and ESPN did him dirtier than an analogy I can put in print. His dad “Papi” wanted Waka Flocka Flame to run for president. It was great shit. How do you take that off the air?

Sadly enough, that fame has gotten him money from DraftKings, but he’s still chasing the attention he used to get. He’s like Drew Smith after Philly fans stop caring about Ben Simmons.

We can laugh all we want, but theres nothing more dangerous than an irrelevant media personality. Philadelphia, if you see this man, be careful. He may cause you physical harm.

Rat Le Batard

He also might have rabies.

Very real and legitimate journalist. I don't see a loss on the schedule.
