Canadian Eagles Fan lets protestors hear it in Ottawa, becomes North American hero

O Canada, what the fuck is going on up there? First truckers occupy the capital, and now there’s an Eagles fan (allegedly) screaming at them to fuck off. Not the most Canadian chain of events I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure.
If you haven’t been following the news and don’t know the whole story, it’s okay. I don’t either. What I do know is that life under Canada’s COVID restrictions made the United States look like an off-campus frat party 24/7.
As a result of some vaccine rules, truckers descended on Ottawa to protest and, while I’m not on their side in this one, they managed to shut shit down for weeks. Using massive 18 wheelers to blockade a nation’s capital is definitely not the least effective way to get your point across.
Understandably, folks were pretty pissed at their daily lives being disrupted by what they perceived as a politically-charged clown show. One man, in particular, let his thoughts be known, and the clip has made the rounds on Twitter.
The kicker? The man in question appears to be an Eagles fan based on his outfit:
I immediately love this guy. How could you not?
I get it if you’re skeptical. An Eagles fan in Canada isn’t exactly something you hear a lot about.
Aggression towards total strangers he finds bothersome is one of the most Philadelphian traits a person could have, and he has it in spades. If you hit mute and put on subtitles, you could tell me this happened in South Philly, and I wouldn’t question it for a second.

Tell me that man isn’t an Eagles fan. You’re lying to yourself if you say otherwise.
Judging by the response, his fellow countrymen threw their support behind him. Now THAT is how I could tell this didn’t happen in Philly. Unfortunately, we don’t get that kind of national support.
Fortunately for Canadians across, err, Canada, I guess, someone did turn it into a Canadian Heritage Minute. I’ve never seen one before, but it was a touching moment when I first saw the newest installment.
Certainly a beautiful thing to have Philadelphia and Canada share a small but profound moment in history. Eagles fans and Canadians are an unexpected but welcome pairing, especially in a time when transnational unity is so important.
This support for aggression on a national scale has me thinking Canadians are turning over a new leaf? Maybe they’re ready to shed the friendly neighbors up north persona and become a little more punchy. They’ve been locked down pretty much the whole pandemic, so I can see why they’d be a bit antsy and short on patience.
This guy, however, is no doubt an Eagles fan. I’m fully confident that if he went down there and confronted the trucker giving him issues, he would’ve beat his ass till it looked like poutine. Or something like that. I’m not an expert in Canadian threats.
Regardless, if he’s rocking that Eagles hoodie, he’s more likely to win the fight. Numbers don’t lie.
